Motorcycle season ends with a serious crash that injures four people
The crash happened during a parade on Saturday in Jelgava, Latvia. According to police, a man born in 1954 was riding a Harley-Davidson trike that first clipped two police motorcycles.
The trike then careered into the parade coming from the opposite direction and collided with another motorcycle. Video footage shows how narrowly several other participants avoided the crash.
Four people in total needed medical attention. Police began criminal proceedings over the incident.
The exact cause of the crash has not yet been confirmed. There is currently no basis for claiming that it was caused by a mechanical fault, a medical episode or alcohol.
