Nissan GT-R that humbled rivals at the Nürburgring 24 Hours heads to auction

While your neighbour shows off a freshly leased Porsche, serious collectors should be moving quickly. A car with more than just performance credentials is heading for auction. This one carries a historic victory from the place where reputations are earned the hard way, the Nürburgring 24 Hours.

The car in question is a 2014 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3, a machine that devoured asphalt and rivals’ ambitions alike. In 2015 it delivered a class win in SP9 GT3 for Schulze Motorsport and a strong overall result, finishing ahead of factory teams whose budgets outweigh the GDP of some small islands.

This is not a road going Nissan with bolt on bravado. It is a full blooded GT3 specification race car, built by JRM Group in cooperation with NISMO. Its 3.8 litre twin turbo V6 was developed to survive 24 hours of sustained punishment, producing more than 550 horsepower without complaint.

The driver line up included names such as Jordan Tresson and the Schulze brothers, who proved that Japanese engineering could dominate in the Green Hell. Few circuits are harsher, and fewer victories carry more weight.

Most supercars begin losing value the moment they leave the showroom. This GT-R plays by different rules. It is more like a fine wine, except this one breathes fire and announces itself at 120 decibels. The auction house confirms the car remains in authentic race condition. Every scratch and stone chip is preserved as a record of what it endured and conquered.

On the European auction scene, Japanese race cars with this level of documented success are a rare sight. This is not a static investment destined to gather dust. It is a reminder of a time when Nissan ruled circuits rather than chasing crossover sales.

So if owning a piece of motorsport history that brought the Green Hell to its knees appeals to you, it may be time to sign the cheque. Estimates point towards a hammer price in the region of 200,000 to 250,000 euros.
