Mitsubishi Unveils Refreshed Outlander PHEV with Enhanced Power and
Efficiency

Mitsubishi has
unveiled a refreshed version of its popular plug-in hybrid SUV, the
Outlander PHEV, which promises to combine power, efficiency, and
cutting-edge technology. While the updated model will make its debut
on Japanese roads this fall, European buyers will have to wait until
the spring of 2025 to get their hands on it. At first glance, the SUV
looks much like its predecessor, but beneath the surface, several
significant updates have been made.

One of the key
changes lies in the heart of the vehicle – the 2.4-liter engine has
been upgraded to deliver 136 horsepower, providing a bit more torque
as well. Although the power output of the electric motors remains the
same, the battery capacity has been increased to 22.7 kWh. With an
impressively low fuel consumption of just 0.8 liters per 100
kilometers and an electric-only range of 86 kilometers, the Outlander
PHEV is set to be one of the most efficient hybrid SUVs available.

But it’s not just
the performance that’s been enhanced. Mitsubishi has equipped the
new Outlander with a top-tier audio system developed by Yamaha
Dynamic Sound, and for the first time, the seats now come with a
ventilation feature, ensuring greater comfort on long drives. The
vehicle’s infotainment system has also been improved, allowing
seamless smartphone integration, making daily driving more convenient
and intuitive.

The Outlander PHEV
boasts seven driving modes and Mitsubishi’s advanced S-AWC (Super
All-Wheel Control) system, providing superior handling in all
conditions. Additionally, the active yaw control (AYC) helps maintain
stability during cornering by selectively braking individual wheels,
ensuring a smooth and controlled ride.
