Kia EV9 reshapes SUV user experience

Kia has unveiled the Kia EV9, their first electric flagship SUV with three rows of seating. The EV9 is built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which provides impressive athletic performance, along with a targeted all-electric range of over 541 km2, as per the World harmonized Light vehicle Testing Procedure (WLTP). In addition, its ultra-fast 800-volt charging capability can recharge the EV9’s battery pack with enough power to run the vehicle for 239 km in just 15 minutes3. The Kia EV9 also features numerous technological breakthroughs, including the Highway Driving Pilot (HDP) system, which will be available in the Kia EV9 GT-line in selected markets in the future. This will enable conditional Level 3 autonomous driving. Moreover, the vehicle introduces the Kia Connect Store, which allows customers to purchase digital features and services on demand, giving them the flexibility to choose the features they want and upgrade the EV9’s capability with Over the Air (OTA) updates whenever they want. Kia will begin accepting pre-orders for the EV9 in the Korean market in the second quarter of 2023. The Kia EV9 will be available for sale in selected global markets in the second half of the year.
