CUPRA's racing concept that merges the virtual and physical worlds

CUPRA just unveiled their Exponential Experience at the Exponential Impulse event in Berlin during the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. It’s basically an electric racing experience that’s never been seen before – it blends the virtual and physical worlds into one!

They’ve combined the amazing cities of Barcelona and Berlin to create a totally unique racing experience. You can drive the CUPRA UrbanRebel Racing Concept, which has up to 320kW (435PS) of power, while wearing a cool mixed reality headset that lets you race through different virtual worlds. It’s like travelling from Barcelona to Berlin, or anywhere else you can imagine!

The coolest part is that the virtual world affects the real car too – if you hit a speed boost in the game, you’ll feel a real boost in the CUPRA UrbanRebel Racing Concept. It’s all thanks to the CUPRA Reality Loop interface technology, which lets the virtual and physical worlds interact with each other.

CUPRA has even designed a custom gaming computer chassis, sensor mounts, and a two-way communication system with the car’s electronics to make it all work. This is definitely the future of motorsport, and it’s perfect for the next generation.
