Lotus Announces Two New Pan-European Charging Partnerships to Support Growing EV Customer Base

Lotus has recently declared two significant partnerships with Bosch and Renault-owned Mobilize Power Solutions to bolster charging options for its expanding electric vehicle (EV) clientele. Owners of the Eletre, Lotus’s electric model, can now avail themselves of the charging facilities offered by these partnerships. This move also supports the imminent launch of Lotus’s electric hyper-GT, the Emeya, with the company planning to deliver the first units to European customers within this year.

Through Bosch’s charging network alone, Lotus owners will gain access to over 600,000 public charging stations across 30 European countries, including the UK, Germany, and France. The network can be easily utilized with a simple tap of the Lotus charging card. An accompanying app enables drivers to monitor their charging history, manage expenses, and remotely check the status of their vehicle’s battery.

Lotus’s electric vehicles generally offer high charging speeds, minimizing downtime for drivers. With a 350 kW DC fast charger, the Eletre and Emeya can add approximately 120 kilometers of range in just five minutes. The same charger can recharge the hyper-SUV’s battery from 10 to 80% in about 20 minutes and the hyper-GT in 18 minutes.

The collaboration with Mobilize Power Solutions shifts the focus to home charging, offering a package that includes delivery and installation of a charging point along with personalized support from order to activation. Starting at 2155 euros, the package includes a standard fixed cable and even allows the utilization of energy produced by home solar panels.

Additionally, Lotus is set to introduce its own EV charging solutions, including an ultra-fast 450 kW DC charger capable of charging up to four vehicles simultaneously. This initiative marks a significant stride in Lotus’s commitment to electrification and provides comprehensive charging solutions for its EV customers across Europe.
