BMW plans powerful electric SUV

According to the latest rumours, BMW is preparing a high-performance iX SUV. Allegedly, the top-of-the-range version of the iX will develop 560 horsepower and will be called the iX M60. It will therefore be the most powerful electric car in BMW’s range, as the electric sedani4 M Performance has a power output of no more than 530 hp.
Currently, the BMW iX is available in two four-wheel drive versions in Europe: the 326 hp xDrive40 and the 503 hp xDrive50. The fastestof these can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and cover up to 600 kilometres on a single charge.
The BMW Blog portal claims that the M Performance subdivision will launch a sportier modification with up to 560 hp in a year or two. In addition, it will be fitted with a modified suspension and traditional M-model design elements. The new iX will be the second electric model with the M badge, after the i4 sedan.
A conventional version of the iX electric SUV will be launched in Europe in late 2021.
