Toyota is testing an electric pickup truck Hilux Revo prototype in Australia. It was showcased as a concept car last year. The potential markets for the new model are Australia and Southeast Asia.
Currently, the car has been sent back to Thailand for further improvements and testing. In the coming months, the company plans to set up a small demonstration park and provide them to a few larger customers for testing.
It is also known that the Japanese automaker is currently working with a consortium in the United Kingdom to develop a hydrogen-powered Hilux, which would help confirm the viability of this technology in commercial vehicles.
