Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has introduced a Signature Edition package in the Netherlands, giving the Transporter Bulli and ID. Buzz Cargo a sportier appearance and a more luxurious interior. The package leaves the powertrains and chassis unchanged, so the added sportiness is purely visual.

Black details and larger wheels

Signature Edition adds carbon-fibre-look front and rear spoilers, side steps, a black grille, black Volkswagen logos, side graphics and special badging.

The Transporter gets 19-inch wheels, while the ID. Buzz Cargo gets 20-inch wheels. The glass-look side panels shown in the photos are not included in the package.

Inside, Volkswagen uses a combination of synthetic leather and Dinamica, with a hexagonal stitching pattern and contrast stitching. The Transporter also gets Dinamica trim on the dashboard in front of the passenger, while a carbon-fibre-look detail is added to the steering wheel.

Technology remains unchanged

Volkswagen makes no changes to the engines, electric drivetrain or suspension. Signature Edition therefore adds neither power nor sharper handling.

The package is available for both the Transporter and e-Transporter, as well as the electric ID. Buzz Cargo. Volkswagen is primarily targeting business owners who want their commercial vehicle to look professional as well as serve as a work tool.

In the Netherlands, the Signature Edition package starts at €6,495 excluding VAT. Volkswagen installs the package after the vehicle has been registered. It is not offered for the ID. Buzz Cargo Economy version.
