Welcome to Jeep’s Glamorous Wild Side: Rooftop Luxury Without the Prosecco

If you’ve ever thought sleeping two meters off the ground sounded like something best left to Tarzan’s extended family, Jeep Performance Parts has news for you. Their latest creation, the ARTT (Awning and Rooftop Tent), aims to make your next outdoor adventure feel more like a business-class flight—minus the prosecco and cabin crew.

Born from a collaboration with camping heavyweight Dometic, this rooftop escape pod is now one of the most exciting additions to the four-door Jeep Wrangler. What makes it special? For starters, it’s aerodynamic—because of course it is. If you’re tearing across the desert at full throttle, wind resistance shouldn’t dare mess with your gravity-defying lifestyle.

Constructed from carbon fiber, the ARTT is both lightweight and, let’s face it, ludicrously expensive. But if you already own a Jeep Wrangler, why not crown it with a tent that costs more than most people’s first car? Inside, there’s room for a king-size mattress, and the whole setup inflates using Dometic’s AIR Frame system. Forget fiddling with tent poles—this rooftop suite springs to life at the touch of a button.

Getting in is equally smooth: just pop off the Wrangler’s roof panels and climb in via a carbon-fiber step plate that not only protects your dash but also announces to the world, “I have more style than survival skills.”

Oh, and there’s an awning. Yes, because obviously, you’ll want to grill in the shade while the sun does a lap around your Jeep. A completely normal weekend, right?

The ARTT system made its debut on the Jeep Wrangler 4xe Sunchaser concept, a vehicle that looks like it was designed for a steamy romance novel titled Hot Sand, Cold Beer. Matte black with sun-faded accents, 37-inch mud tires, winches, roof racks—it’s a love letter to wilderness with a wink and a flex.

If this isn’t living, then honestly, what is?
