First preview of the new ID.7 GTX

Three weeks back, Volkswagen showed off their new ID.7 electric limo for the fancy mid-size class. And now, the most dynamic model version is coming out in late summer with the grand debut of the ID.7 GTX. With the latest ID. model drive generation, a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, and a bunch of sporty design elements, this long-distance limo is one high-performance ride. The plan is to launch the new GTX model at the IAA Mobility event in Munich from September 5-10, 2023.

Inside, there’s some cool red GTX contrast stitching on the seats, dashboard, and doors to make it look even sportier. On the outside, you got some slick black gloss elements, along with a standard black roof paint finish and tinted windows, all giving the ID.7 GTX a powerful and distinctive look.

Just like in the previous GTX models ID.4 and ID.5, the dual-motor all-wheel drive system in the ID.7 GTX is under the control of a vehicle dynamics manager. This software, developed by Volkswagen themselves, always aims to achieve the best combo of efficiency, dynamics, and driving stability. The vehicle dynamics manager handles everything from the powertrain to braking, steering, and chassis control systems, depending on the driving profile selected. The ID.7 GTX’s running gear and steering have been majorly improved on the modular electric drive (MEB) platform, offering a wide range between comfort and sportiness, highlighting the ID.7 GTX’s status as the flagship model in the ID. family.

The GTX brand is all about electric performance and sustainability, and it’s been part of Volkswagen’s lineup for two years now. These cars are real head-turners, with sporty designs that scream high-quality GTX models.
