Google is showcasing a new browser developed for cars at CES

Yesterday at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, Polestar announced the continuation of its strategic collaboration with Google. The partnership brings new Google-integrated innovative solutions to Polestar models, including fresh features, which are being showcased at Google’s Android booth at CES, using the Polestar 3 as an example.

Google is introducing a new feature that allows users to plan trips on Google Maps via their Android or iOS devices, and then send the planned route directly to the integrated Google Maps in the Polestar 2. This feature will start rolling out immediately.

In 2021, the Vivaldi browser was developed for the Polestar 2. Now, Polestar 2 will start using a beta version of the Chrome browser, offering drivers a familiar and user-friendly browsing experience. However, it can only be used while the car is parked.
