Hyundai Motor Unveils ‘NPX1’ Concept Model at Tokyo Auto Salon

Hyundai Motor Company has unveiled an exciting new concept car, the IONIQ 5 N NPX1, equipped with N Performance Parts, at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. This move is a part of Hyundai’s initiative to enhance the ownership experience of high-performance electric vehicles with N Performance Parts. Following in the footsteps of their internal combustion engine vehicles like the Elantra N, i30 N, and i20 N, Hyundai N plans to offer specialized tuning components for all its electric N models, including the IONIQ 5 N.

The NPX1 concept offers a glimpse into the N-specific enhancements that will soon be available through the N Performance Parts catalog. This includes an array of high-end features such as a carbon fiber front splitter, side extensions, rear diffuser, rear spoiler, lightweight carbon fiber wheels, high-performance brake pads, and lower springs. The interior is not left behind, boasting Alcantara leather and sporty bucket seats.

The N Performance Parts seen on the NPX1 concept are currently in development to be production-ready. Hyundai aims to make these parts available for sale within this year, marking a significant step in the evolution of electric vehicle performance and customization.
