New Abarth 500e Scorpionissima to electrify Salon Privé

Abarth is set to make a grand entrance at Salon Privé London next month, as it unveils the UK public debut of its thrilling new 500e Scorpionissima – the brand’s first all-electric vehicle. This marks a significant milestone in the storied brand’s history, as it enters the electric era, and is perfect for electrifying the bustling London streets surrounding the exclusive home of Salon Privé London at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The Abarth 500e Scorpionissima is the collectible launch edition for the new Abarth 500e range, co-created with the Abarth community itself. It comes in a vivid Acid Green paint, with an equally eye-catching Poison Blue hue also available. Only 1,949 units will be produced – a number that pays homage to the brand’s birth year. The new Abarth 500e Scorpionissima boasts special features, including 18-inch diamond-cut titanium grey alloys, distinctive front and rear Abarth lettering, and a new electrified take on the famous Abarth Scorpion signature logo. It’s available in both hatchback and convertible versions, wearing a sporty body kit that includes a white front dam and distinctive rear diffuser. Performance-wise, the Abarth 500e Scorpionissima has the power to match its looks. With 155PS from the high-power electric motor, it can reach 0-62mph in just 7.0 seconds. It’s also 50% faster than its petrol-powered counterpart at city speeds from 12 to 25mph. The new electric 500e is even a second faster than the potent Abarth 695 petrol turbo on the firm’s famous Balocco test track. It also features a unique soundtrack, thanks to a distinctive Sound Generator that replicates the sound effects sought by dedicated Abarth enthusiasts. The Abarth 500e Scorpionissima comes with a 42kWh battery that provides ample driving range, and an 85kW fast charging system as standard. This means up to 25 miles of range can be added in less than five minutes, and it can fast-charge to 80% battery capacity in only 35 minutes.
