Nissan Unveils the Next-Generation Interstar at Tokyo Auto Show

Nissan is set to showcase its latest innovation, the next-generation Interstar, at the Tokyo Auto Show by the end of this month. This new entry in Nissan’s lineup is turning heads with its design, which echoes the robustness of a utility truck, accentuated by a dominating front grille. Nissan stands behind its product with a standard 5-year or 160,000 kilometers warranty, and an extended warranty option of 8 years or 160,000 kilometers, ensuring reliability and peace of mind for its customers.

The next-generation Interstar is designed to cater to a variety of business needs with several factory-built versions available, including a tipper, platform, and van. These options highlight Nissan’s commitment to versatility and customer satisfaction in the commercial vehicle sector.

A groundbreaking addition to Nissan’s fleet is the Interstar-e, marking the brand’s first electric venture into the large van segment. Equipped with an 87kWh battery, the Interstar-e promises an impressive range of over 460 kilometers. Its rapid D/C charging capability allows for an additional 252 kilometers of range in just 30 minutes, catering to the needs of businesses looking for efficient logistics solutions. A compact version with a 40kWh battery is also available, providing options to suit different operational requirements.

The design of the next-generation Interstar focuses on aerodynamic efficiency, boasting a 20% reduction in wind resistance. The van features a wider side door and an extended cargo area, enabling up to 1.6 tons of payload capacity for the electric version and nearly 2 tons for the internal combustion engine variants.

Nissan has also revamped the interior of the Interstar to focus on the comfort and safety of the driver and passengers. The van is equipped with advanced safety systems, including an emergency braking system, drowsiness warning, and tire pressure monitoring, demonstrating Nissan’s dedication to safety.

With its innovative design, advanced technology, and commitment to safety and sustainability, the next-generation Interstar is set to be a game-changer in the commercial vehicle sector. Nissan’s latest offering is not just a step forward for the company, but for the industry as a whole, paving the way for a greener, more efficient future.
