Over 1000 kilometers were driven on a single charge

In the middle of December, a new milestone in electric vehicle history was achieved with the NIO ET7 traveling over 1000 kilometers on a single charge. The journey, which began in Shanghai and headed towards Xiamen in southeastern China, took 14 hours to complete. Despite the exceptionally cold temperatures, which usually reduce electric vehicle battery performance and range, the NIO ET7 managed to use 97% of its 150kWh Ultra Long Range battery’s capacity over the 1044 km distance.

The 150kWh Ultra Long Range battery, a part of NIO’s latest innovations, is compatible with their entire electric vehicle series. It’s currently available to users of the Battery as a Service subscription model, allowing drivers to flexibly increase battery capacity at each stop according to changing needs.

NIO’s new battery is the world’s first cell-to-pack (CTP) battery, boasting an energy density of up to 360Wh/kg. This makes it the highest capacity and energy density among mass-produced automotive batteries in China.
