smart unveils the all-new #3

Smart launched their first-ever sports utility coupé called the smart #3, and it was during some fancy event at the Auto Shanghai show. The design is all about being super sporty and cool, thanks to the Mercedes-Benz global design team. They didn’t forget about the latest connectivity tech, though.

The smart #3 looks really slick with its smooth lines and curves that make it super aerodynamic. There are a bunch of details that make it stand out too, like the slimmed-down LED headlights and the “shark nose” grille. The roof is two-tone and meets this e-line that connects the pillars, giving it an elegant and sporty look. The back is just as cool with the taillights having pixelated elements and everything.

Inside, the cockpit is all about sporty vibes with circular shapes that look like turbine intakes. The dashboard flows seamlessly into a high console that holds the central cockpit and a 12.8-inch elevated central screen. It’s all super stylish and modern.

Smart is staying true to their mission of creating the best solutions for future urban mobility with this new car.

The smart #3 is designed to let in tons of natural light from the halo roof, but don’t worry, there’s also some cool multi-colored ambient lighting to make things even cooler. And guess what? The car has a longer wheelbase than before, which means even more room in the interior. The headrests are built-in and super comfy, and the 13-speaker Beats® Soundsystem makes it a total party inside.

The smart #3 is gonna come in some sweet new colors like Photon Orange Metallic and Electric Blue Matte on the outside, and Vibrant Brown on the inside. That’s pretty sick.

If you’re in Europe, you can check out the smart #3 at the IAA in September 2023, and then it’ll be available for purchase in early 2024. We’ll let you know more about it when we can.
