The All-New Škoda Superb: Elevating Space, Comfort, and Performance with Innovative Features
Škoda introduces the fourth generation of the Superb, building on the strengths of its predecessor and delivering an even more sophisticated design, enhanced space and comfort, and cutting-edge technology. The latest Superb offers customers the choice between a Combi estate version and a hatchback, with a new range structure featuring seven Design Selections that provide sustainable solutions, including textiles made from 100 percent sustainable materials.
The interior of the new Škoda Superb boasts a clean and spacious look, incorporating innovative features such as Škoda Smart Dials and a 13-inch infotainment screen. The free-standing display contributes to greater ease of use, complementing the overall modern and streamlined design.
In terms of powertrains, Škoda has optimized efficiency with three petrol engines ranging from 110 kW (150 hp) to 195 kW (265 hp), two diesel options with 110 kW (150 hp) and 142 kW (193 hp), a new plug-in hybrid exclusive to the Combi estate, and an all-new mild-hybrid version. The introduction of innovative assistance systems like Turn Assist and Crossroad Assist adds an extra layer of safety to the Superb.
The flagship of Škoda’s ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) portfolio takes well-established virtues to the next level, setting new standards in design, spaciousness, comfort, and safety. The fourth generation benefits from design and aerodynamic refinements, resulting in reduced fuel consumption and improved performance.
The powertrain options, including modern TSI petrol engines, diesel engines, and a plug-in hybrid with an electric range exceeding 100 kilometers on the WLTP cycle, offer outputs ranging from 110 kW (150 hp) to 195 kW (265 hp). The top diesel and petrol engines feature all-wheel drive, and all powertrains come with a standard DSG automatic transmission. The Superb introduces new-generation LED Matrix beam headlights and DCC Plus for enhanced visibility.
The interior concept of the fourth-generation Superb showcases a sculptural exterior design with a distinctive octagonal Škoda grille. The spacious and tidy interior incorporates a free-standing infotainment display of up to 13 inches, a relocated selector lever on the steering column for a roomier center console, and an optional head-up display.
Introducing the Škoda Smart Dials for quick and intuitive access to various vehicle and infotainment functions, the new Superb adopts the range structure with Design Selections, offering themed option packs and individual choices. Additional features include a Phone Box with inductive 15-watt fast charging and simultaneous smartphone cooling, as well as Ergo seats with ten pneumatically controlled massage cushions. The Combi estate version features an electrically operated load cover among the 28 new Simply Clever features.
