The final Mulsanne adds a Royal touch to Bentley’s Heritage Collection
Bentley Motors announced the latest addition to its revitalized Heritage Collection—a bespoke 2020 Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase. This particular model holds special significance as the final example of the Mulsanne, meticulously handcrafted at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe. Following a period of service with the Royal household, the car has now returned home.
Commissioned and built for the late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this last Mulsanne features a range of bespoke features tailored for royal duties. The exterior is adorned in solid Barnato green, complemented by an interior in Twine and Cumbrian hide, Burr Walnut wood veneers, and plush lambswool carpets. The specification includes rear privacy curtains and the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom inlaid into the door waistrails. Notably, the front center armrests were replaced with a custom-sized tray designed to accommodate the Queen’s handbag.
For discreet yet essential features, the car is equipped with concealed blue police lights, a siren, and a bullhorn, with a dedicated switch panel discreetly positioned beneath a walnut-veneered door behind the gear lever.
Under the hood, Bentley’s renowned 537PS 6.75-liter V8 engine ensures powerful performance, complemented by 21” alloy wheels and chrome brightware for the grille and front wing vents. The iconic Flying B insignia adds the finishing touch to this bespoke creation, which will be retained as the third and final Mulsanne in Bentley’s Heritage Collection. It will join the second Mulsanne ever built, VIN 0002 from 2010, and a 2019 Mulsanne Speed, previously part of Bentley’s press fleet. These three Mulsannes are integral components of an expanded 45-car Collection, marking 2.5 years into a three-year program dedicated to completely rebuilding a family of cars that collectively narrate and illustrate Bentley’s illustrious 104-year history.
