The new Škoda Kodiaq is here
The new Škoda Kodiaq is embarking on its latest journey with a fresh design, advanced technology, and the introduction of a plug-in hybrid variant.
The new model features a more robust appearance, with a 6-centimeter increase in length, offering expanded space for passengers and cargo. The redesigned exterior includes a reshaped bonnet, a distinctive hexagonal grille, and optional second-generation full LED Matrix headlights. The SUV’s aerodynamics are improved, boasting a drag coefficient of 0.282.
Inside, a central 13-inch infotainment screen, complemented by a 10-inch virtual cockpit and optional head-up display, takes center stage. Smart Dials, multi-function controls, simplify access to various functions. The automatic transmission selector has been relocated to the steering column for added space on the center console. The Kodiaq also introduces the DCC Plus dynamic chassis control system for an enhanced driving experience.
For the first time, the Kodiaq is offered as a plug-in hybrid (Kodiaq iV), providing a combined output of 204 hp and an all-electric range of over 100 kilometers. The lineup includes a mild-hybrid technology model and petrol and diesel options, all paired with a DSG automatic transmission.
Advanced driver assistance systems enhance safety, including Turn Assist and remote parking via an app. The blind spot monitoring function has an extended range, and Traffic Jam Assist is redesigned for improved visibility.
In terms of connectivity, the Kodiaq is always online, offering mobile services, infotainment apps, and over-the-air software updates. It features a 10-inch multi-touch display, DAB+ radio, gesture control, voice commands, and optional navigation with a 13-inch screen. The SUV provides enhanced wireless charging and multiple USB-C ports for fast device charging.
The Škoda Kodiaq represents a harmonious blend of design, technology, and safety, making it a compelling choice in the SUV market.
