Confident both off-road and on-road:the Audi Q8 e-tron edition Dakar

With the start of the Dakar Rally, Audi introduced the Q8 e-tron edition Dakar, an electric SUV inspired by the world-famous desert rally. The Q8 e-tron edition Dakar stands out with a higher clearance and optional stickers reminiscent of the RS Q e-tron participating in the Dakar Rally. Priced at around 120,000 euros, the model will be available for order in Germany during the first quarter.

Based on the Q8 advanced 55 e-tron quattro model, it features a 106 kWh battery pack and a dual-motor quattro all-wheel-drive platform. In boost mode, it offers 300 kW of power and 664 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h takes 5.8 seconds, and the WLTP driving range reaches up to 487 kilometers. The SUV’s top speed is limited to 200 km/h.

The vehicle’s clearance is 31 mm higher than the base model, which should be better for driving on gravel or snow. The air suspension system is adapted for off-road driving, and the vehicle can ford depths of up to 300 mm.

Available in Siam Beige, Mythos Black, and Magnetic Gray, the SUV features a body-colored Singleframe and Mythos Black metallic Bottom Line. It also has extended wheel arch edges and LED lights that project “edition Dakar” onto the ground when the driver’s door is opened.

A limited sticker package of 99 units includes partial decorations on the Mythos Black metallic body color. A special model serial number is displayed on the D-pillar.

Standard equipment includes Matrix LED headlights, S-line interior with Dinamica microfiber fabric and faux leather seats, and a multifunctional sports steering wheel finished in leather. The interior is enhanced with brushed matte aluminum trim and optional Audi Sport stitching in red.

MMI backgrounds and ambient lighting were tailored for the edition Dakar. Standard equipment includes a storage and luggage compartment package, a durable roof rack, and an additional charging socket. The vehicle comes with General Grabber AT3 off-road tires and an additional set of summer tires.

Additional options include a four-zone automatic climate control, Bang & Olufsen Premium sound system, and virtual side mirrors with cameras.
